Keyword Research Tools
Last time we spoke about Keyword Research, today we'll take a look at some keyword research tools and resources you can use to help facilitate the process of keyword selection. These keyword research tools will help you discover potential keywords based on various parameters, including past search history, the latest and historic search trends as well as referencing page content from websites in related niches.
Some of the more popular keyword research tools you can explore are the following
- 1. Overture – This a free tool driven by search data garnered from Yahoo!
- 2. Google – Also a free tool, this one is powered by Google's search data
- 3. Keyword Discovery - Another useful free utility to explore
- 4. Wordtracker – This utility isn't for free, but worth exploring nevertheless
Do note that these tools are primarily geared towards qualitative measurements. If you're looking for quantitive search volumes for a given keyword or keyword phrase it is recommended to set up a test campaign for a few days with Google Adwords.
